29-Day Giving Challenge

Like many people, I don't particularly get along splendidly with my mother-in-law but she is going through some medical tests and uneasiness right now and my husband and I had not been able to get a hold of her for the past few days. I took some time today to really talk to her and let her know that we were there for her, that I would be willing to travel to be with her whenever she has tests or if she has to be hospitalized. (My father-in-law is deaf and doesn't really even try very hard to communicate with doctors or anyone) She seemed to be happy that I would be willing to do that and I really think she just needed a sounding board for her complaints about everything she's gone through before. It was good to give her that time. So much so, in fact, that when one of my daughters called up her grandmother tonight to talk to her, Gloria asked to speak with me again! She sounded so much better this evening, it was good to hear.
