Day 13
I spent most of the day hanging out with friends on our day off of school. My mom called me from work, and she was clearly frustrated by the day she was having. She was really busy & mad and taking it out on me. I let her yell at me and get it out of her system without getting upset, myself. When she got home, she apologized to me. I told her not to worry about it and that it was fine. I could see that she was very relieved and happy that a big fight that normally would have occurred had been avoided. Today I gave with love.

You certainly did give with love, Hannah. I had to smile, though, thinking of past arguments I had with my own daughter. Those days are far behind us now, though, and today she caled to tell me Happy Valentine's day and to let me talk to my grandson.

One of the most important things we can give another is to truly listen. Kind of hard when emotions are high. You did, indeed, give love today.
