My son is off to Cub Scout day camp this week. I asked another mom yesterday, after seeing her with her 3 younger kiddos (all under the age of 3) picking up from school and then dropping off at camp, if I could pick her son up from summer school and then take him to camp. She agreed.
Today, the friend joined us for lunch before heading to camp. It was also a nice way for me to get to know him better.
I dropped his carseat off at his house and realized he left his swimsuit in the car. He didn't have a hat, so I asked his mom for a hat and ran the suit and hat back to camp. She offered to take it, but I know how not fun it can be to corral kiddos into the car to run an errand.
Now that our kids go to school in the community in which we live, it's really nice to be able to carpool for activities.

What a lovely gift -- and you certainly went the extra mile to take the items to him. I know both he and his mom appreciate it. I hope this develops into a lovely friendship for all of you.
That has to be a huge help for the Mom! I know the kiddos will enjoy camp so much!
Great way to give and to make new friends all rolled into one!
