I treated a co-worker to lunch today. It was an effort not allowing her to pay me back. I told her she was my "Designated Givee" today and couldn't pay me for the lunch. I blamed it on 29 Gifts and it worked! On my way home I stopped at Big Y, a grocery store that occasionally rewards you with a silver or gold coin that gives you a discount on a future purchase. The woman in front of me in line was new to the store, and didn't even know what the special coins were, so when she cashier asked if she had one, and she only had a blank look, I gave a coin to the cashier for her. It took her a while to figure out what happened, then she realized what I did and she said, " That saved me $4 ! " You would have thought I gave paid her whole bill, she was so happy. I had an extra coin when I finished paying for my things and I gave it to the cashier to give to the next person who may need one. What an easy way to make someone smile.
