Day 17 - Step up for Stefanie
Today I walked a 5k called Step up for Stefanie. It is for breast cancer research and is in memory of Stefanie Spielman. Her husband, Chris, was a big name in OSU football and then played in the NFL. He quit his career in the NFL to care for Stefanie when she got breast cancer at age 30. I just read their book (That's Why I'm Here: The Chris and Stefanie Spielman story) and it made the walk more meaningful. I walked with my neighbor, caught up with my sister and her family who ran it, and even saw an old friend from the bookstore I used to work at. It was a good time.
