Friday November 13th (?) ended on a great note. I had gone to the grocery store to grab a few things for the weekend and I ended up having a pleasant conversation with the volunteer from the Salvation Army. I took my last few dollars for the week out of my wallet and placed them in the ever familiar red bucket. Its so uplifting to see how a simple act of a kindness adds a lighter step not only in my personal stride but a little more jolly in the volunteers ringing of his bell.
Saturday-Day 19 (which happens to be my weekend time with my children) my middle daughter had asked if she could spend time with her friends which then led to a request for a sleepover. Although, I was looking forward to spending the 'free' time with her I decided that she needs her own 'free' time and I agreed for her to go and have a good time. When she returned home this morning somewhat tired from the lack of sleep from a 'sleepover' I was greated with a smile-hug and a sincere thank you.
I can't believe that tomorrow is already day 20...REALLY!!!
