Today I slept. It is one of those things I have come to understand that I need in order to be healthy. I got up and had to walk to the train and straight to storage and then back to the couch I am on. I had very limited interaction with the world today.
Again I used “Be on the lookout for some opportunity for giving” as my mantra against my dark thoughts today.
When I got to the empty light rail platform there was no one there. I saw how dirty it was. I saw a bag, and cleaned it up as a “gift.” To whom? I don’t know. But it was all I could do today.

Hugs, Dawn
It is a gift, to the planet and to others who use the station. Sleep is SO important, on so many levels (and it's one of those escapes that has a health benefit). Hang in there - I'm thinking of you (I thought of you a few times today).

PS: This giving is *not* unnoticed.... And may your intentions in doing so come back upon you three times over.

Missed the original post about you getting started here again (because of my own side-swipe of getting let go unexpectedly from my job on Friday)... but I believe as you do that the commitment to Give is a way to bring some presence to each day & some positivity. Best to you in sorting it all out; I know shock/nerves is a big hit; I've hardly eaten for 3 days (& believe me, that says a lot!)
Because of this site & someone else's idea--I have a pair of tongs I bought at the dollar store that I use on occasion to pick up trash when I walk my dog. It *definitely* counts... the world is a prettier place because of us.
Best to you--
