Today I wrote a thank you note for an anniversary gift. I also wrote a note to my husband's elderly uncle who recently had a pin put in his hip. Unfortunately it is not holding and he'll have to get the hip replaced. So I sent him a note saying I was sorry and gave him some book recommendations. His daughter, and my husband's cousin, has been terminally ill for awhile. I have never met her, but we heard she was not able to participate in a recent clinical trial because she did not qualify health wise. I sent her a note telling her I was sorry about that and then continued with a letter basically telling her about our family since we have never met. Everyone likes getting a letter.

My heart goes out to the members of your husband's family,so many challenges and worries! I'm sure they will appreciate your thoughtful letters, Lefty. No one seems to take the time for that anymore. Their letters will mean the world to them.
THose were beautiful gifts which I am sure will be very much appreciated by the recipients.
I know I do! What a lovely gift, Lefty... They will love that you took time to do this...
