Today, we had an unexpectedly free morning, so the kids and I went to this cute little art shop that lets you do "drop-in" art projects. My daughter A LOVES this place, but we haven't gone much because I've been convinced that my son would destroy the place by emptying out every single bin. Well, it's been months since we were there last -- and I guess my son T has grown up a lot. The trip was supposed to be a gift for A, and I figured it would involve a lot of cajoling T into good (or at least passable) behavior. Ends up, T spent even more time than A carefully smearing a thousand colors of paint all over a little wooden firetruck. They both had a blast (me too), and now I'm excited about taking them back together sometime. Yay!
And, of course, Cookie-Making Monday was back in full force this afternoon -- although I wasn't as patient with their messiness then as I wish I had been. Then again, A stuck in longer than usual and found out how much fun it is to press the little cross-hatches into PB cookies, so I guess it wasn't too bad either.
