Day 27
Yesterday I was collecting money for raffle tickets for the Children in Need charity - our workplace donates a (paid) day off to the winner of the raffle and all proceeds go to this charity. I have a colleague who works 3 jobs just to make ends meet and support her family and so every single penny counts for her - she's a fighter and always puts her friends and family before herself - so I bought one of the raffle tickets and donated it to her. I hope she wins (even though I'd love the prize myself)!
Today I bought some heat packs for the same person - she suffers from bad arthritis in her knee and I'm hoping these pads will give her at least some very temporary relief as she does struggle, quite badly on occasions, to get around and it looks painful.
