Day 3- brownies
DD is attending an arts camp this week. Today they had a bake sale to raise funds for scholarships. This was a classic day before, "Mom, can I take in baked goods?" kind of request. So the kids helped mix and I made 3 pans. One for the sale (only brownies brought in, much to my surprise), one for a weekend gathering, and one for the office.
No clue if the colleagues liked it, but that's okay. Sometimes you give despite knowing whether or not they were appreciated.
DH is only home 1 weekday this month and was out of town working on July 4. His boss sent a box of cookies and a nice note as a thank you for our family's understanding. (This is the 2nd gift box his boss has sent since March. Hubby travels a lot. It sucks, but at least someone outside our family notices and appreciates the travel.)
