Day 3 Nothing Tastes as Good as Sobriety Feels
I'm a recovering alcoholic. I will celebrate 22 years of sobriety on Super Bowl Sunday. Alcoholics, according to the AA Big Book, are selfish and self-centered. I was thinking this morning about how the 29 Gifts program is such a great antidote for my own selfishness and ego. I passed along some info about 29 Gifts to an old AA friend of mine who sponsors and counsels other alcoholics. My hope is that my friend or one of her "babies" in AA will be able to use this program in their recoveries. Does this count as a gift? It feels like one.
