So, my 29 days is up, but I have been forever changed. My new goal is to get others involved in giving. On the drive home from Louisville to Chicago with my boyfriend, the weather got really bad. 45+mph winds, temperatures in the single digits, white-out blizzard conditions... there were vehicles in the ditch everywhere.
Well, we were driving a Land Rover with some massive towing power so twice, we stopped to pull cars out of ditches. It was such a great feeling to help them! AND, this wasn't even my idea - looks like someone else is starting their 29 days today. I have officially passed the baton :)

There is no bigger feeling of gratitude than when someone helps you and your car out in the snow. Would have been easy to just drive by. Way to go.

Comment by Toni on December 14, 2010 at 7:27am My GOODNESS! You've been busy! I just read your blog about the coffee and homeless man too. GREAT GIVES! I love how giving helps make the road a little easier for others. In your case of pulling people out of the ditch, it couldn't be more literal!! I hope Mother Nature gives you a break and you have a safe ride home. XXOO
You have done much and in life I wish you happiness and many gifts given and received!
