Today I gave the gift of my umbrella. Because I tend not to watch the weather, I have a number of umbellas that I leave in different places, just in case. It had been raining on and off this morning, so I took the umbrella when I took the dog for a walk. I was finishing up my walk when I came across my friend who was walking her dog, as well. As we were talking, the rain started to pick up. Since I had finished my walk and had about 3 more umbrellas in the house, I gave her mine for her walk. She still had about 1/4 of a mile to go.
This afternoon, I met a friend for lunch. Since I had gotten wet earlier, I figured I would take the umbrella from the car just to be on the safe side. When we were leaving the restaurant, the sky opened up. My friend was going to make a run for it, but instead I walked her to her car. It was a little tight and I elbowed her twice trying to make sure we were both staying dry, but it was fun.

That was such a thoughtful gesture!
You kept her dry and covered her with your friendship!
