Last night the temperature was a balmy 12 degrees here in Maine. I was doing chores, and my son asked me to go outside with him onto our deck.... I really didn't want to, and kept putting him off. He pleaded, I relented, and my other two kids joined us out on the deck. My son had brought out his ipod/speaker and started the dance music.
The sky were clear, the stars were brilliant, the music was rockin! As I write this I realize what a fabulous gift he gave to me... but the gift I gave to my children was me, all of me, in the present, just loving them.

(And thank you for helping me appreciate the warmer life here in New York - where it's a balmy 25!)
Now that is a great memory! I love this!
