I have been wanting to volunteer at the Shepherd's pantry for sometime now, it is every Monday for a few hours. The kitchen ran so efficiently, everyone had a job to do and did their part. It is so great that there is a place like this to help people who are down and out. What an overwhelming outpouring of compassion in my community. It was so meaningful for me to be a part off. I will defiantly be returning next week and every Monday until I find a job. If I cant be working right now as a teacher at least I can be working where I am needed. Today, I defiantly started to see beauty, both in this world and with-in myself. So so glad to have done it.
I was so impressed to see so many young volunteers, high school students, who just wanted to do something worthwhile with their time. As a parents and as a teacher it is such a blessing seeing kids that are so generous with their time. Their parents defiantly did right by them feeling that compassionate spark (or what ever it is inside them). I pray that my children follow in their foot steps in a few years.

It's your footsteps they will be following in! Children learn what they live, and you're setting a beautiful example.
