Today I knew that I wanted to give something to my grandmother, I just wasn't sure on the where, what and when. My mother called in the morning and asked if she could stop by to drop off some things. While she was getting ready to move on to her next errand, she mentioned that she needed to both food shop and take my grandmother to an appointment and wasn't sure how she was going to do both. The universe presented both an opportunity to give a gift to my mother and grandmother. I volunteered to take my grandmother to her appointment, giving my mother a little more breathing room. She was very grateful for the time. I then called my grandmother and asked if we could stop by before her appointment and have time to visit. We brought over baked goods and while the girls ran around shocking each other (for some reason the air is just right to create electric shocks in her apartment), she and I sat and talked. She reminisced about trips to the Adirondacks with my grandfather and I received the gift of her stories from the past.
