This was a wonderful day for giving. There were a bunch of small, mindful gives that I found. We're in a difficult chapter in my trig class, and I understand what we're learning. I took the time to sit with one of my classmates and help her with quite a few of the problems. We had our sectional swim meet today, and things were pretty intense. We get rub-downs with oil that makes us go faster in the water. We have to wear gloves so that the oil doesn't get on our hands. My friend forgot her pair, so I let her use mine-even though they are my favorite pair, and I had been worried about getting the oil on them. Later in the meet, another friend had to count one of our teammate's laps for a particularly long race. She was worried that she wouldn't have time to go to the bathroom before her own race. I jumped up and took her spot so that she could go without having to rush. I could tell that one of my teammates was extremely nervous about her race. I went up to her and gave her some words of encouragement. I was delighted to hear her tell me how much she appreciated me coming over to talk to her. It was great to be thanked so graciously for so simple an action. Today I gave with enthusiasm!
