Day 5 and day 6
OK so yesterday, my husband and I were so busy going from one thing to the next. A business appointment, a nephew's BD party, dinner with an old work buddy. My gift to myself, my friends and family was to enjoy the day, not to rush and to be present at each event. As deliberate and organized as I am, sometimes things just all happen on the same day! In the past I have not embraced the fun of days like this. I'm learning- Got home late and tired ....and happy!
Day 6. This is the actual day of my Dad's birthday and had already made plans to have parents over for BBQ ribs. Since I had a busy day yesterday, I thought I'd pick up a grocery store cake for dessert. Instead I decided to make a lemon cake- my Dad's favorite. enjoyed the process and looking forward to our evening meal together.
