29-Day Giving Challenge

Been pretty busy and not blogging. So here are the last 3 days: Day 5 I went to a friends place who whould normally come over to mine. And we went out for a lovely lunch. I then helped her set up her bed as she had just shifted and was sleeping on her mattress on the floor. The biggest bit of the give was for me to be in the present moment and not thinking of leaving to get my stuff done.

Day 6 I offered without hesitation or resistance to look after a friends horse over the weekend while she is on holiday. Giving my time is quite hard cos I feel like I don't have enough time for myself or to do what I need or want to do.

Day 7 I bought my husband som new bike shorts. He has wanted them for a while and I didn't worry about money I just bought them out of love. Nice.

Receiving-wise I got my insurance price back and managed (by increasing my excesses) to add a vehicle to it and still get it cheaper than the original quote. Even after our premiums has risen dramatically after the Earthquakes!

And the lady I gave flowers to on Day 1 said yesterday how much she was enjoying them so I felt really good about that gift as it is still giving to me and her.

So on to day 8 today. I think I am still negating small gifts and wanting to make BIG demonstrations of giving.  After reading a few of other peoples blogs I think I will start listing all the little things I do also, to keep me focused on the giving. Mindfulness is definitely a habit that needs practising.

This video encompasses what I've learned the most from the 29-Day Giving Challenge, that giving compassion, kindness and patience can be the greatest gift. *note: it's kinda cheezy.
