Day 6, October 6th
Today I gave in a couple of ways, one planned and the other not. Both instances were nice but the unplanned one seemed sweeter. After a day at a craft fair with my sister (Jady), Darren, and Mama D we decided to stop at a local pumpkin patch. This place is great, it is a local farmer and just sells veggies & fruits he has a play ground for the kids but nothing haunted etc. The prices are amazing! I had gone one day and had a full wheel barrel full of pumpkins, and the lady said $10.00 bucks should do it! I was shocked. Today it was Jady’s treat. Jady, Darren and I live together, she said last time you got it this is my turn … fine by me hehe. So one thing about this place is all the gourds are free you just have to go get them yourself and let me tell you there were some funky looking ones! Jady make the joke last time you must have cleared them out there are none left, because we were only able to find a couple and they were tiny. We walked over to the white pumpkin area (this place has some already set to just take if you don’t want to go into the fields). As we were looking for the winner we noticed a little guy no more than three, he spotted the oddly colored things (gourds) in Jady and I’s hands and walked right over to us. I just gave him one that he seemed to be eye balling. His mother said the normal “what do you say” and his response: “Those to big for mes (points at the huge white pumpkins) this just right Tank You” BIG GRIN … I thought that is my gift for the day, even though I already had one planned out. The look in his eyes made my heart just melt; to him I gave him the world. We saw him later walking around showing off his “special pumpkins” LOL. Now the planned gift is for my sister, mother in law, and husband. We are in HUSKER country and even if you are sick you get together and watch the football games!! I bought all of them their favorite candies and placed them in favorite colored bags with a “29 Gifts” gift card :) I know we will all enjoy the game and GBR for those HUSKER fans out there!!!!
P.S. I did get myself some Jordan almonds witch I LOVE but never buy because of the cost hehe … would that be considered a gift to myself? I think so … so that is 5 gifts in one day I am on a roll!!!!!
