Day 8
Woke up to a new year and started off my making homemade crumb cake for my family. It was a big hit as each one eventually made their way downstairs in the morning lured by the smell of cinnamon and sugar. This afternoon I had another opportunity to give at my yoga studio. Classes offered on holidays are "donation classes" and instead of the regular class fee, you are able to make a donation to a cause that the studio chooses at the start of the year. This year they are raising money for Off the Mat's Seva Challenge. I went to the class feeling pretty logy and left feeling very energized - physically and mentally. The real treat was walking outside to freshly fallen snow and watching the flakes drift down.
