Bringing Hope to Women in Shelters

Day 9
Today we hit the rink, skating that is. The girls' wishes for vacation activities were to go to the movies (we saw Avatar - highly recommended) and ice skating, so today was the day. Despite the one wipe out resulting in a bruised and scraped check (my oldest daughter), fun was had by all. For me, it brought back the gift of memories both of when they were little and we sloooowly scooted around the rink clinging onto the edge and when I was growing up and my mother took me and my sister skating. There is nothing like the feeling of building up a little speed and going around the rink.
