Day 9 - June 9th

Saturday went rather well. My gift seems small, but to me and the guy I gave it too, it means a lot, so I'm happy :)

Even though Prometheus came out, the theater has been having a slow weekend, and for some reason, my managers scheduled a lot of people to come in. Because there are more boys than girls, and I'm a hard worker, they usually let me stay when this happens instead of cutting me. Today, when the 6 o'clock shift came in, they had to cut either me or one of my coworkers. I don't really know him that well, but I knew that they hadn't put him on the schedule much recently. I had worked on Friday, but the hours he was getting Saturday were the only ones he was getting all week. Without even considering me, my manager told him to go home for the night. Before he left, I told my manager I'd be willing to go, since my coworker and I had come in at the same time. The look on his face when he found out he was going to be able to get more hours was so great! :D

And good news for me is that I got to see my boyfriend finally! I use to see him every day in high school and college, so not seeing him for a week was rough! (I'm so spoiled) :P We had a quick breakfast at IHOP before I left for work, which was super wonderful! After work I had extra time (because of leaving so early) so we were able to eat dinner together at his house and watch Iron Man and parts of the NJ Devils and LA Kings hockey game :) 

Guess it all works out after all!
