So the golf outing was fun! Considering I did not even know which club to use, I did fair. It was "best ball" so my partner carried me a fair bit, but everyone was nice and it was good to get out!
Yesterday's gift was to be on time when my boyfriend came over for a date. I am often working and not "ready" when he comes, so I thought that would be nice for him and us!
Today I brought fruit and muffins to the barn this morning as a special treat for all who were out today.
And I am keeping up with my Buckisms! Here's today's quote by Buck Brannaman
"The horse responds to comfort, they respond to peace better than about anything else you could do. All he wants you to do is just leave him alone. So if the horse responds to you and you give him a little peace and comfort that means more to him than anything." - Buck Brannaman
Too often people think horses need food, hugs and pats, when really they don't offer that as gifts to one another...they offer their presence and their peace. Being with the herd is a privilege, so horses like being with others and see that as a reward.
Perhaps being present for someone should be a gift I offer soon....
