So, it's Day One for me!
I belong to a book club and last month's choice was 29 Gifts. I have been super busy and did not get a chance to read the book, but the girls all said it was great at last month's meeting! When I arrived at this month's meeting in a bad mood and feeling down, one of the girls gave me her copy and said READ THIS!!
WOW! Ok, I was/am in a place that I am not too proud of! I am so not very grateful for all that I have in my life, and it is past time to change it!
Up until my late 20's, I was enthusiastic, energetic, fun-loving, always looking at life optimistically and with excitement! In hindsight, I don't see a moment where it changed, it just seems it slipped away. I want that back. I want my fun-loving self to reawaken and join in the wonderful world of living intentionally!
I so admire Cami and her journey! And her ability to share it and start this!! And her ability to ask for and receive help! I hope by giving I will learn how to do this for myself and especially for my business!
Since I am in the horse profession and as one of my mentors, Buck Brannaman says: "horses and life! they are pretty much the same to me." As they are for me. Horses are so deeply rooting in my daily life that there really is no clear division of our lives...and I like it that way! So, as part of my commitment to this 29 Days process, I am going to blog daily on my blog a tidbit of wisdom from my mentor Buck. Last year, the movie BUCK was released about his life and it too is changing lives. Since I have ridden with him and totally love most everything he says, I will take a quote a day and gift it to those who follow my blog to share his wisdom. For my blog, click here!
So for my first gift-a friend of mine has breast cancer, they thought it was small and a lumpectomy would take care of it. She found out today after last week's surgery that is not so simple...they need to go back and do a mastectomy on Wednesday. I cannot even imagine how she feels! So I took her a chocolate cake, a big bouquet of sunflowers and a card. In the card I wrote: What flowers can't fix, chocolate will! What chocolate can't fix,God will! She is at the top of my prayer list! Please add her to your prayer list too, her name is Angela.
Looking forward to my 29 days!

I will add your friend to my prayers and thank you for sharing your first day. Enjoy your journey and the community!
Welcome! I am so glad you have joined us here. The 29 Day Giving Challenge is a wonderful journey and I hope you will enjoy yours. My heart and prayers go out to your friend. You gift was very caring and nurturing (and I LOVE the quote. May I borrow it?). I look forward to getting to know you through your posts here.
Your gifts just melt my heart as does what Angela is going through! I will say a prayer for her and for you. Your journey is off to a perfect start!
