29-Day Giving Challenge

Day 10: Last day of vacation before returning to work. To ease the transition, we had planned on going to brunch with my mother and grandmother. We awoke to a very snowy morning and the thought of traveling out did not seem appealing. Instead we invited everyone over to the house and created a feast - chocolate chip scones, bagels & hummus, tofu scramble, fruit salad. We just ate, sat, and talked. It was a warm wrap up to the week.

Day 11: First day back to work with staff meeting scheduled for 1 pm. I wanted to give something to inspire the team and bring a smile. I created a gift to give each team member - a little seed kit and tied a card to each one which read "Happy New Year. May the seeds we plant this year take root, grow strong and flourish." It was a great way to open the meeting and everyone appreciated the thought.
