Day 15- Carpoola-palooza! Drove neighbor children to summer school in morning and then ran carpool for a different Cub Scout family (and had the same Cub Scout from yesterday) in the afternoon.
Day 16 - Phone call. Called a friend and it was a two-way pick me up. I felt better while chatting with my friend and she thanked me for calling.
Day 17 - Time with my daughter. Took the day off of work to spend with my daughter at a Mother/Daughter Girl Scout activity. Time well spent.
Day 18 -Pictures. Went through pictures from the school year and forwarded them to another parent, who we have gotten to know over the school year.
Day 19 - Conversation - DH and I had a really nice conversation about his aging parents.
Day 20 - Composition notebook. We went back to school shopping the other day, and I picked up a composition notebook for my son that if half lines for words and half blank for pictures. He's not a big writer or artist, but he is really taking to this book. I originally thought he could write down some summer activities, but really, this is his book.
On a random observation - I was out at a store and a little girl in a sundress caught my eye. She was wearing a dress I made for my daughter a few years ago. My daughter picked out the material - it was the type with the elastic stretchy smocking built in with a border print on the bottom - so it was a one seam dress with ribbon ties added for the shoulder straps. It HAD to be the same dress, because the chances of someone else making that exact dress with the same ties would have been just too much. It made me feel so good to see another little girl look so adorable in that dress.
