29-Day Giving Challenge

Day 21 (Tuesday) - I had the intention of participating in a volunteer service project to trim rose bushes around the Boston area tonight, but the event was rained out.  My gift for the day was a donation to a person in need.

Day 22 (Wednesday) - I went to a sobriety meeting on this night.  I met the person who was chairing the meeting, and I was sharing with him how hard it has been for me to speak at these meetings.  He said to really work on it, and to just keep in mind that it is helping every person in the room when they hear you.  So there was my gift to others, and to myself that night. :)

Day 23 (Thursday) - I spent time in a phone call with a friend who definitely needed someone to talk to.

Day 24 (Friday) - I helped cater a birthday party.

Day 25 (Saturday) - I went into work early to help out since someone else did not show up on time.

Day 26 (Sunday) - I went to an event that my partner has been wanting to attend for awhile.

Day 27 (Monday) - I took the time to send a (second) note to a friend on FB whom I'm concerned about.  I hope to hear something soon.  I also have a friend in recovery who is leaving on a trip today.  I emailed him some information about meetings in the area where he is going.

With two days left, I'm excited to start a new round!  :)
