29-Day Giving Challenge

Days 3, 4 and 5 - a visit, thank you notes, work and another quarter!

Got behind on my posts.  Day 3 I picked up my 10 yr. old nephew at the airport.  He is staying with us for a week.  He has a sister and his father died 6 yrs. ago, so he is in heaven staying the week with our family of boys.  Day 4 was the last day of my self-defense class (R.A.D. if you want to google).  The class was free and amazing.  This class was not for sissies (I came home bruised and bloodied each week) and I learned so much.  I wrote each of my 6 instructors an individual thank you note to let them know how much they were appreciated.  Today I worked at our downtown campus to fill in because they were short staffed.  It is much busier and I hope I helped out.  And can you believe I gave another quarter at Aldi?  An elderly woman was trying to get a cart out.  I asked her if I could help and she said her quarter was Canadian and not working, so I gave her one of mine and helped her get the cart out.

Your nephew is going to have a great week! The class sound interesting and a great way to get healthier in body and mind! I love the quarter gift...we have an Aldi's too, and I will use the idea to gift...

What great gifts! I'm sure your nephew is enjoying himself tremendously, and is building memories that will last a lifetime. It is so rare for anyone to hand-write anything anymore, and I'm sure your instructors were touched by the time and energy you took to thank them in such a personal way. I love gifting people in small ways, such as the way you helped the lady at Aldi.
