I spent Day 5 looking at PostPals.co.uk & planning out cards and gifts for several of the children. I somehow didn't realize how in depth it was really going to be, and I didn't actually get anything completed. Still, I tried not to worry too much about that, since my mind and heart were in it all day long. I did the sameyesterday, on Day 6, except that I did get a birthday card in the mail to a little boy whose mom had posted that as a wish on WUAH. I hope that makes them happy!
One thing that I've noticed in these last couple of days, is that I'm really appreciating the things other people do more. I have always tried to be appreciative, but in the last few days I'm not just noticing, but really appreciating the little things - Z cleaning out Emmi's litter box, people smiling and being nice at the store, all of the little things that happen at my workplace and home that are just because we all are a family. I can tell that my perspective, which I didn't think was too bad, is changing and becoming much more positive and appreciative.

I totally agree with Deb...it does change us..and makes us much more aware of what others do for us. Your gifts are so special....the card to the little boy will put a smile on his face for sure!
This experience and journey changes all of us and usually for the best!
