Day 9, I made cookies for my family because homemade cookies are good, but also cheaper! Cookies are getting so expensive. Day 10 was a bit of downer because of a failed give. My give ended up being playing a game with my kids and then heading out on bikes to do a geocache even when my mood was a little down. The failed give was OSU football tickets. If you don't know, Buckeye football is huge here. My college friend who lives in TX gets alumni tickets but can't use them and sends them to me. I give them to my sister because we are not football fans. She could not use them this year. My husband offered them to someone who has really been helping him out a lot lately, but he could not use them. Then I e-mailed the principal at our high school to see if there was a family who may be struggling right now and would really enjoy going to a game. He passed it on to 6 administrators and no one was able to come up with anyone. At this point, game day was getting closer and as we asked more and more people, no one was able to go. I've been in a bit of a funk all day that the tickets went to waste. Have others experienced a "failed" give or a give where the response was just not what you expected?

I couldn't have said it better than Deb and Laura! You tried, no failure there!! I hope you have a much better day today, you are a wonderful Lady!
My goodness--all those attempts to pass the tickets along & you are calling that a "fail"? :- ) I see an incredible willingness to share & an extra effort that involved offering these tickets through or to 9+ different people... their "failure" to say Yes is not a "fail" on your end to Give... actually, it sounds like at least 9 "successful" Gives!!! And really you have no idea what may have been going on behind the scenes for your sake from this.
PS: In football terms--an "incomplete pass" is *not* necessarily a failure by the quarterback.
Big hug--
Laura
Yeppers! It bothers me as it has you but you gave it your best and that is all you could do.... Not your fault at all, Lefty~ Cookies sound delish right about now! xoxo
