“Each day I am thankful for nights that turned into mornings, friends that turned into family, dreams that turned into reality, and likes that turned into love.”
When I saw that, my heart soared. And yes...in the totally cheesy, instant-rush of happiness, kind of way.
Yesterday, I thought I was going to lose my way again. I thought I was going to get yelled at for breaking the rules at a writing competition (I wrote in first person instead of third because I got all existential-crisis while writing). Instead, my coach surprised me by giving me a pep talk telling me that I was way too intelligent to not be out there helping the world (definite confidence booster) and basically told me to get my act together. Then he gave me two cupcakes... I LOVE CUPCAKES!
As we walked out, I gave my gift of the day. I shared one cupcake with a custodian. He very much appreciated it! Today, he told me he thought it was delicious.
I also allowed myself to seek advice again. The more I do that, the more at peace I become with not knowing where my life is headed. It's actually a pretty cool collateral effect.
Today, my gift was offering to help the honor society with their holiday projects! I'm writing a letter of intent to get local businesses to donate their products to us. I expect it to be a great success... It is the season of giving, after all!
Much love, and have a wonderful tomorrow!
