End of the School Year

Today was my daughter's last day of school.  I made treats for her program and my husband and I wrote a note to her teacher.  We also got her a gift card for a local restaurant.  She was an amazing teacher and my daughter really came out of her shell this year!  With all our state has been through this year politically, I felt it was the least we could do to let her teacher know how much we appreciate her and all she does for all of the kids.

Thank you for taking the time to thank this teacher for making a difference in your daughter's life.  She will enjoy the meal at the restaurant, and I am sure that she will read and re-read the note and it will mean a great deal to her.  Teaching can be a very difficult, stressful job -- but knowing that what she does is appreciated and that it does make a difference will make it all worthwhile.
