Saturday came in the north east with a cold frost and hit my fig tree hard. I went out early and picked the last 6 figs to bring to my dad in the nursing facility. His eyes filled with joy and a bit of sad when I told him they were the last of the season. It was as it should be I gave him the first figs and the last figs of the season. I love him so much! It was chilly most of the day so I also took some time and made my family chocolate chip cookies. My 2 year old was over the moon

Sunday I gave to the lord and we prayed a lot and thanked god for everything we had. We started teaching the 2 year old the Lord’s Prayer but he just says amen part right now.

I'm glad your Dad was able to enjoy the last figs of the season..God Bless your family, take care...
Something about the cold makes you want to bake, doesn't it? I remember teaching my kids prayers and it is amazing what they pick up, just by repeating them every night.
I am going to feature this today!
What a touching gift to Dad. Bless you... I love the prayers and teaching your Son to pray as well... May you and your family be blessed!
