One of the young teachers I work with was getting evaluated by a "tough cookie" supervisor today. Needless to say he was scared out of his mind (poor kid). This morning as I was coming to school I remembered how he always goes to quick check for lunch so…. I stopped in a got him a gift card. I put it in a card and told him he was a great teacher and just to be himself and let his spirit shine through. When he found the card he came in and found me and gave me a hug. I remember how much things like that meant to me when I was starting out. I hope one day he passes it on too. He had a great lesson!
