29-Day Giving Challenge

Gift 20,

Tonight I gave myself some time to start a project I have wanted to do for a long time.  A crochet blanket.  A monumental task for a beginner chrocheter! So I started, then I had to give myself some patience, kept going and gave myself some encouragement and when I finished my first little hexagon after about 2 hours of unravelling and re-doing it, I gave myself a big pat on the back! I have just figured out how to download photos from my phone onto the computer so will post a pic of my first hexagon.  It's going to take a long time to make a blanket I think!!  I dont get much mummy time so it was nice of quinn to go to sleep early :)

Gift 21, I left a very fun dinner party to keep a promise to skype with a friend when I really wanted to stay.

Gift 22. When out and about today I waited to hold open a door for two very capable guys,  They were quite chuffed that I bothered to wait for them rather than let the door swing back on them and both were genuinely thankful.  A very small gift but I think it brightened their day a bit.

Gift 23, Dropped everything to drive over an hour to pick up Grant who was stuck on the side of the road with a flat tyre and a flat spare.  After two weeks of working away, a plane flight and a 2 hour drive he was a bit tired.  I got a third of the way there and he called to say he had lost his tyre outside of a timberyard and they had a compressor to pump his tyre and was back on the road again.  So I went back home and got to finish what I was working on, which is my first ladies dress! It was a success and I am so happy!  I also saved him a really primo bottle of beer for when he got home...
