Gift 3 – saving an abandoned puppy and older doggie

Monday 28th March

Positive affirmation/quote of the day:  I have a profound and positive impact on everyone I meet.

Today I am thankful for: Rob a PT who is going to try and treat my knee again for me, he is going to be coming into work an hour early on Tuesdays, so that he can treat me before I have to leave for the PT clinic I work at.  How nice is that?

Gift 3 – saving an abandoned puppy and older doggie

My gift today was totally unexpected; I was commuting to work when I spied a puppy and an older dog in the middle of a busy road, which most people drive about 65mph on.  Concerned that they were going to get run over, I grabbed the puppy and the older dog followed, I got them into my car and pulled my car off to the side of the road for safety. The dogs did not have any tags, and unfortunately it looked suspiciously like they had been abandoned, the puppy was tiny he couldn’t have been more than 6-8 weeks old, so couldn’t have walked far, yet I was over a mile away from the nearest house.  My husband came out to where I found the dogs with our dog kennel to help me.  He drove around to see if he could find an owner to no avail, and our fears were confirmed that they had been abandoned.  I would have liked to keep the dogs, but I already have two dogs, so it wasn’t really realistic for me to take them home. Anyway to keep a long story short, after lots of emails, text messages, and phone calls a lovely caring owner has adopted the older dog, and the puppy has gone to the humane society who assure me that puppies get adopted very quickly.  So I’d like to think that I saved a couple of dogs from harm today. Awww, you were in the right place at the right time for these unfortunate dogs! You and your husband were a major factor in getting the dog adopted..and i am sure the puppy will find a home soon.
