Gift day 28
Yesterday, sunday, it rained the whole day. Time to read! Once a month I get a free magazine in the mailbox. It's top-full all kinds of nice articles about holidays, gardening, gadgets, ideas for books, plays etc. and beautiful pictures. I sent the editoriol office a mail to thank them for their sunny magazine on a rainy day. They already answered me, they were very pleased.
Sometimes it is so easy to give a compliment, but you seldom do it if you don't know the people personally. I remember once I had a very nice dinner in a restaurant. You could see the cook working very hard to get everybody's meal ready on the same time. Not everyone ordered the same which made it extra complicated. I do like to cook myself and I know that one of the most difficult things is to get everything ready at the same time. I never gave him a compliment, took it for granted perhaps, but I still do remember this missed opportunity because every not-given smile, compliment or present is lost for ever.
