Today is my Grandfather's birthday. He would have turned 76, but he passed away 3 years ago.
My Grandmother does not have a car and so I decided that my gift for the day would be to take her to the cemetery to visit my Grandfather on his birthday. I actually thought about this gift a few days ago. You see, the number 8 in my religion is an auspicious number and is meant to be good luck. My grandmother could really use some good luck which is why I saved gift 8 for her.
This was an emotional day for her and she seemed to be a bit down after the visit but at the same time was so grateful to me for taking her and could not stop thanking me. Such a small gesture on my part meant the world to her and I am glad I was there to be a part of it.
