Maya Angelou:
"I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver."
Too hot to venture outside today. Beginning to realize that through giving, I might just begin to view myself as a gift. Although I've always seen myself as a good person, there have been many times throughout my life, that I haven't liked myself... always expecting to be more than I was capable of being. Accepting acceptance is a new found goal. Accepting myself for who and what I am may be a difficult challenge made easier through the 29 Day Giving Challenge.
My gifts today are simple gifts. My husband told me he would like his t-shirts bleached. Bleached them. Received a call from a charity for childhood cancer. Donated. My dog will receive a bath and have her nails trimmed. The bathroom upstairs will be cleaned. If time and energy allow, I will put together a bag or two of clothing for the Vietnam Vets to pick up.
As I continue along this newly found path, I am more and more honored to be a small part of this community.
