Grannies: the 8th wonder of the world
Today I took the last 2 hours off work to spend time with my gran as I was in her suburb picking up some documents for work. She had been asking me for a while to come visit, but I have been really busy (the usual excuse) and I usually see her once a week anyway. It was great to have some one on one time with her and catch up and let her take care of me which in a weird way I know makes her truly happy. I suppose it has to do with feeling needed as much as wanted. I guess I got just as much (if not more) than I gave in this respect as I drove away with fresh, granny-made flapjacks. I'm so glad I took the time to just be with her and be remidnded of what an amazing woman she is and how blessed I am.
