Today was a flat out disappointing day. A job I thought that I was going to get for sure didn't pan out... they thought that I was "over qualified" and decided to go in a different direction... seriously!? Back to square one.
Tonight we went to a local art walk in downtown Chandler it was very neat! My original plan had be to give a gift while there, but the event was very small (but cute) and consequently nothing really jumped out at me there. When we got home it was a beautiful night, and only 80 degrees (the coolest it has been since I moved here) so I tagged along with Katie and Stephen when they took the dogs for a walk. On the walk I decided that my gift for the day would be to pick up trash around the neighborhood, which worked out well as there were a tone of trash and recycling bins out on the streets. Everyone got into it including Chipper (one of the pups) who picked up a squished water bottle and carried it for several blocks until we came to a recycling bin.
I liked my gift for today, I am a habitual refuse repurposer so this fit in with my normal pattern, just amplified. Simple, easy, green... so nice!

Aww, I am so sorry about the job, have faith, I know you will find the right fit! Picking up litter was a super gift for the day!
I am sorry the job did not pan out. Don't lose hope though. The perfect job is awaiting you. You managed to give today and that is wonderful...
