OK, haven't written since Thursday... Friday... I brought my boyfriend some flowers because he made dinner for me! I'm not sure how much he appreciated them... He doesn't really drink, and he doesn't eat desserts. He said no one had ever brought him flowers before. I also spent time with him and his son without my kids - 1st time. So, I guess that counts as my something new. Friday was obviously not a stellar day for my January challenges. I can't think of anything I did at work...Oh, now I remember. I bought lunch for two of my friends, AND I went to a different restaurant. They wanted to go to Subway, but we always go there, so we went to Chipotle instead.Yay! for something new!
Saturday was a bit better. I went to my first yoga class at the Y. It was really cool. And, I took my grandmother and mother out to lunch. My mother drove me insane, and I wasn't feeling very well. I felt like I was in the 4th circle of hell. I"m not sure I was giving with an open heart. She has to read every single item on the menu...I also went to a birthday party for my son with my ex-in-laws, and gave my mother-in-law a gift card to Amazon. So, yesterday counts was definitely a good day for my January pledges.
I haven't gotten out of my pajamas yet today. I may take the kids to family swim when they return from their dad's. It depends on what time they get home. I'm going to call my mom and be patient and nice; she really is driving me to drink lately. I think I'll make my boyfriend some more oatmeal raisin cookies...he's the only one who likes them!
Still, I don't feel like I'm really extending my circle of giving. I am always doing things for the same people. I'm really going to give that some thought.
Thanks to everyone who comments on my posts! I think they are really boring, but doing them helps me stay on track. I really enjoy the feedback.
