29-Day Giving Challenge


When writing your letters and cards this season, consider adding a few names to your list. Amnesty International offers situations, names and addresses of a individuals around the world who could use a few words of encouragement and to be reminded they are not alone.

Amnesty offers ideas on what to say and do

Please send letters and cards before January 31, 2009.
When Sending Cards:

1. Send simple messages of goodwill, such as "We are thinking of you."
2. Don't discuss the political situation or the charges against the prisoners.
3. The people featured here hold diverse religious beliefs. Please send non-religious greetings rather than Christmas or other religious-themed cards.
4. Do not use Amnesty cards or mention Amnesty International.
5. Mark envelopes "Airmail." International airmail postage is currently 94 cents for cards up to one ounce in weight.
6. Please send a copy of any reply you may receive to:
