29-Day Giving Challenge

A couple of weekends ago, some friends came to visit me for the weekend. Ever since I moved to PA, I've felt kind of left out since most of my closest friends are all still back home. I really miss having them near, and hanging out, going out to eat, playing games, and just laughing and talking with them everyday. But it really makes me appreciate their love and friendship when they come visit, and it's just like old times! We ate, sang, danced (like crazy people), and even roller skated at a bar that was having derby night! Before they arrived, I made some little cards for them with photos of all of us inside. I used to make cards alot- out of construction, scrapbooking paper, and lots of stickers! It's nice to do something a little artistic once in a while- I definitely need more art in my life. Yesterday, I sent a small note and some photos to my old roommate. It's always a fun surprise to get letters in the mail, so I hope she enjoys the gift. It's kinda nice waking up and thinking, "What can I give today?"

To celebrate the long weekend, I flew to North Carolina to visit my fiance. It was a wonderful weekend, full of love, driving, watching movies, listening to music, stargazing, playing at the beach, and a delicious seafood buffet. I feel so lucky to have him in my life. We only see each other a couple times a year so whenever we do meet, it is so incredibly wonderful! I gave lots and lots of love this weekend.

I'm glad you had time to visit with old friends, and to get away.  I dated long-distance for over two years, so I can relate, although it seems like I was luckier having only to go 3-6 weeks between visits.
