29-Day Giving Challenge

I have decided how I will do this giving 29 thing, in 29 days, and still work around my weird life.

I like to make stuff. ;) Toys, clothing, decorations, messes, weird things that defy classification. It's done in fun, it's done in love, it's all good.

My time and ability to craft/sew (or to do ANYTHING, really) are very hit and miss, between my medical issues, homeschooling my 12-year-old son, and child-sitting/managing damage control with the preschool whirlwind aka my four-year-old granddaughter (love the child dearly, but good gravy, she's a force unto herself). ;) Some weeks (or months) I can't get ANYTHING done, then I will have a day or a weekend where I do little else but craft.

So my plan is this: For the first 29 days (September 17 to October 15), I will make 29 things, in 29 days, but not necessarily one a day - it may be one incredible weekend of crafting and sewing. ;) I promise not to count any of my already-in-progress projects towards my count. ;) I will start Saturday, and post the items as they are made.

And then the SECOND 29 days (October 16 to November 13), I will give them away - same caveat, it may be in huge bunches of giving, or multiple things to the same place (I do charity crafting and sometimes they have a need for many multiples of the same kind of item), probably not one a day. But they will all be given to the people that need them. Whoever they are. ;)

I was kind of inspired by "Give. Paint. Repeat..." but sort of in reverse. ;)

And yeah, I know this isn't precisely the point of the 29 days thing, but it's what I can realistically manage right now. :) It's done in the right spirit, and I think that's the important part.

Very cool.  I am glad my project has that effect.  Go for it!  You will have so much fun and meet really interesting and new people.  I did 3 rounds of the 29 days before I started my project and I am already thinking about what to do next year!  Good luck.  I can't wait to see what you do!

This is awesome. I've had similar ideas about pieces of writing, though I've hesitated, because I'm not good at writing poetry on demand (I can do it, but sometimes it's really bad poetry - haha). I love the flexibility, and yes, I think it's the intent that matters. Look forward to seeing photos :)

This is your own personal journey, and your idea of crafting for 29 days is very intriguing. I am looking forward to reading your blogs and seeing your creations.
