Month 2 - Day 1- Advice
Today, I spent time with a new student. The college where I work is not a typical college. I get a new set of students every 4 weeks. So today I met with a new student who has serious anxiety about Public Speaking. I spent some time discussing the issue with her and hope I can continue to counsel her throughout the month. I'm not sure I really know how to deal with someone who is really AFRAID of the subject I'm teaching, but I'm going to give it everything I've got.

That was a very thoughtful gift. I am very active in my local Toastmasters Group and have had the pleasure of seeing members grow from being "scared speechless" to being confident public speakers. Perhaps after your class is over, Toastmasters might be a great opportunity for her to continue practicing and learning to be more comfortable speaking in public.
