My Journey

Over the last few weeks, I have found that while I tried to focus on doing something nice for different people, this journey has made me more aware of the nice things that people have done for me. I think that being aware allows us to be so much more grateful for the little things!

I completely agree. I often find it hard to be the recipient, but after finding so much joy in giving simple pleasures, I am finding just as much joy in receiving them. I signed up for a daily reading on line called the Daily Om. One of the readings talked about how you can deprive someone of joy if you don't just accept a compliment ~say thank you. I often negated the compliment, it was just hard to accept. I never thought of it from the perspective of the giver, but I do now. Amazing how much learning there is in these simple acts of kindness.

I'm glad to hear that because as I was moving through the process, I started to realize the gifts that I was receiving. I thought maybe I ways loosing my mind :)
