MY SECOND GIFT / THE MAGIC OF MUSIC
My second day, the challenge is becoming more interesting since you spend the day thinking about who and how to make happy with the magic of an unexpected surprise.
Today was the turn of a child, an unknown child i found in the street while i was doing a procedure in the U.S. Embassy in my country, Mexico.
The boy saw a man selling miniature violins on the street. He saw the violins like a dream come true, with the desire to be the best fiddler in the world ... but without money to buy it. A child with limited economic resources, it showed in the clothes.
At that moment I knew what to do for my second day in this wonderful way. Without hesitation I approached the salesman, ask the price and bought two violins.
One that immediately submit to the kid with a big smile. He gave me the biggest smile excited and hopeful that I had ever received in my life.
The second violin I gave myself as a reminder of the wonderful feelings that cause the music, laughter and magical illusion of a child.

What a beautiful gift! You touched many lives with this gift -- first the vendor selling the violins surely appreciated and was blessed by the sale, sencond you gave the boy so much more than just the gift of the violin (though that was a very special gift). You also gave him the gift of wonder, the gift of permission to dream and the gift of seeing that there truly are "earth angels." Buying a violin for yhourself was a lovely gift also -- it will remind you of the happiness you have shared. Lois thank you very much. In some years would be wonderful to hear a world-class violinist remember this story as the beginning of his musical history. Sure I'll cry with emotion.
